ROC [ Registrar of companies ] is an office. This office works under MCA ( Indian Ministry of Corporate Affairs ).
There are currently 22 ROCs working from offices in all major states of India.

 The Registrar of company takes care of company registration or Incorporation of company in India.
The ROC completes reporting and regulation of companies and their directors and share holders.
